We will examine how these 7 tentacles work together to poison us.
The Invisible Government stays in power and enslaves the common man and woman via a “System” of influence and control; a System so subtle and far-reaching most people can’t see it.
This System has 7 main tentacles:
#1 – BANKING: We live under the tyranny of an international banking scheme designed to regulate our currency and keep the common man poor and the rich man wealthy.
#2 – POLITICS: We are given the illusion of freedom of choice but in reality we live under a dual party politic system, with Republicans and Democrats being twin faces of the same corrupt coin—ensuring no meaningful change.
#3 – EDUCATION: We and our children are put through an ineffective and dumbed-down education system that limits our minds, so that regardless of the strength of any given teacher, we are all taught the same mind-limiting curriculum.
#4 – PHARMACEUTICALS: We suffer under and indeed are purposely poisoned by a horrific and money-hungry pharmaceutical market that first creates the diseases—real or imagined—then advertises and sells us the “cure.”
#5 – ARMAMENTS: We live in the shadow of a massive armaments industry, which spreads fear and endorses war for profit; a united populace is not good, it would destabilize the armaments industry.
#6 – RELIGION: We are taught to blindly follow watered-down religion that divide the masses. The Western religions encourage people to seek “out there” for divinity and spiritual eternity, when in reality divinity and spiritual eternity exist within us already. The Invisible Government hides this truth.
#7 – MASS MEDIA: The Invisible Government brainwashes us by television, and we’re taught to listen to and trust the corporate news media; we were long ago “sold” the illusion that there’s a group of journalists and editors fighting on our side; sadly, they pedal mostly lies, deception, superficiality, and fear.
These 7 Sinister Tentacles of control by the Invisible Government were established long ago. The term “New World Order” is a misnomer; the Invisible Government has been around for a long time.
Today the System works smoothly—because no one suspects it exists; this despite the warnings of former presidents, senators, governors, mayors, and benevolent world leaders:
President Theodore Roosevelt
“Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government, owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people. To destroy this invisible government, to dissolve the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of the day.”
John Hylan, Mayor of New York City
“The warning of Theodore Roosevelt has much timeliness today, for the real menace of our republic is this invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy length over City, State, and nation… It seizes in its long and powerful tentacles our executive officers, our legislative bodies, our schools, our courts, our newspapers, and every agency created for the public protection.
…They practically control both parties, write political platforms, make catspaws of party leaders, use the leading men of private organizations, and resort to every device to place in nomination for high public office only such candidates as will be amenable to the dictates of corrupt big business.
These… interests control the majority of the newspapers and magazines in this country. They use the columns of these papers to club into submission or drive out of office public officials who refuse to do the bidding of the powerful corrupt cliques which compose the invisible government.”
Woodrow Wilson, 28th President of the U.S.
“Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.”
Edward Bernays, the so-called “Father of Public Relations,” wrote:
“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country… We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of.”
John Edgar Hoover (1895 – 1972), the first director of the FBI
“The individual is handicapped by coming face-to-face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists. The American mind simply has not come to a realization of the evil which has been introduced into our midst. It rejects even the assumption that human creatures could espouse a philosophy which must ultimately destroy all that is good and decent.”
President John F. Kennedy (1917 – 1963)
“For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence—on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations.”
The Invisible Government’s 7-tiered System has not been designed for us; it has been designed so that a few families, corporations, and governments are able to control all the wealth, power, and natural resources, while the common man is fed just enough to survive so he doesn’t revolt in the streets.
A small group of families (c. 1000) constitute the Invisible Government. They run the System their grandparents and great grandparents created. Many names are familiar—Rockefeller, Lehman, Morgan, Vanderbilt, Carnegie, Rothschild, Guggenheim.
So are the names of the financial institutions they use to enslave us—GE, General Motors, Chevron, Du Pont.
And the political institutions as well—Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, Royal Institute of International Affairs.
These families, corporations and organizations own the governments, banking systems, and all the financial institutions; they own the land and all the natural resources, which they’ve privatized out of our reach. They own Wall Street and all major commerce. They dictate what everything costs, including how much interest you’ll pay on loans, how much rent you’ll pay, what mortgagee terms you’ll receive, what your car payments will be, grocery bills, university fees, even the price you pay for a shirt, a meal, and a movie.
The fact that all this is hidden is no accident. We were meant to live in ignorance by the System’s designers; and this ignorance and its restrictions inhibit us physically, and, more important, spiritually. And we believe the lie that we’re free, because we’re told this lie all along.
#1 – BANKS: By Controlling Money, They Control You
If you think bankers are evil, you are definitely onto something. Not the tellers or low-level managers, but the decision makers and higher ups—like “Mr. Potter” in Frank Capra’s It’s a Wonderful Life:
Capra didn’t just invent Potter’s character out of thin air; he clearly used a working model—bankers!
“Banks are an almost irresistible attraction for that element of our society which seeks unearned money.”
— J. Edgar Hoover, FBI
Banks enslave us in a number of ways. One way is by using fiat currency setup by the Federal Reserve Board in 1913; many famous and important people have since condemned the Fed as “evil,” “unconstitutional” and “illegal”:
“The financial system has been turned over to the Federal Reserve Board. That Board administers the finance system by authority of a purely profiteering group. The system is Private, conducted for the sole purpose of obtaining the greatest possible profits from the use of other people’s money.”
— Charles A. Lindbergh Sr., 1923
“We have, in this country, one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever known. I refer to the Federal Reserve Board. This evil institution has impoverished the people of the United States and has practically bankrupted our government. It has done this through the corrupt practices of the moneyed vultures who control it.”
— Congressman Louis T. McFadden in 1932 (Rep. Pa)
“In the U.S. today, we have in effect two governments. We have the duly constituted government, then we have an independent, uncontrolled and uncoordinated government in the Federal Reserve, operating the money powers which are reserved to congress by the Constitution.”
— Congressman Wright Patman, Chairman of the House Banking and Currency Committee, in a speech on the House floor in 1967
Banks enslave us in other ways as well. One way is by saddling us with perpetual debt and then charging high interest on that debt—even though they know that the majority of Americans are not properly educated to understand the nature of debt, interest, etc.
The banks make it easy for people to get into debt, always tacking on charges and fees. A $40,000 college loan could cost you 400% in interest over the years. Can’t pay? The interest charges will just keep on coming.
The banks will seize your possessions, cars, homes, bank accounts. They’ll garnish your wages and use any kind of sneaky scare tactics. Of course, they don’t mention any of this in their advertising, where they present themselves as caring, kind, smart, friendly, and basically as pure as the driven snow. They are masters at the art of deception.
Foreclosure is another neat bank trick. Make no mistake, the banks want to foreclose on you. And why not? More money for them. The banks will resell your house and property for a nice profit. Can’t make your final car loan payment? They’ll repossess it and resell it and make a ton of money in the process.
Banks stole homes and farms during the Depression of the 1930s. The government did nothing to alleviate the suffering so Americans began to idolize some of the government-thumping bank robbers, like the good-old Mr. John Dillinger.
Another scheme the banks use to steal our money is by feeding us to death with endless penalties (the death of a thousand pin pricks). If you’ve ever bounced a check, you don’t need to be told this. The bank has a policy to re-post the check over and over again, charging a $30 overdraft fee every time. Pretty smart, since the check just continues to bounce. Refuse to pay and the banks will take it right out of your account.
The Invisible Government owns all the banks, federal reserve banks, and central banks in the world. Yes, the world. The Invisible Government is also tied to another lucrative and shady industry—pharmaceuticals.
#2 – PHARMACEUTICALS: The Sickening Truth—Profits Before People
Pharmaceuticals are big business. Yet pharmaceuticals are killing Americans. It’s been called “pharmageddon.”
“…’pharmaceuticals’ refers to medicines composed of small, synthetically produced molecules, which are sold by large, fully integrated drug manufacturers. The largest…Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline and Merck…are known as “Big Pharma”… During 2007, brand pharmaceutical manufacturer sales in the United States reached $228 billion and generic pharmaceutical manufacturer sales hit $58.5 billion.
—The MBA Career Bible, By Vault Editors
Unfortunately, the damage that pharmaceuticals are doing to human health, human wealth and possibly even human offspring is incalculable. We see headlines like the following all the time:
“Pharmaceutical giant Merck & Co. is pulling its arthritis drug Vioxx from the market after a study confirmed earlier concerns that it raises the risk of heart problems, including heart attacks and stroke. Vioxx is currently used by 2 million people worldwide and has been used by more than 84 million people around the world, according to Merck.”
—NPR, 9/30/2004
As with the banks, there seems to be only a handful of “evil” people at the very top of the big pharmaceutical companies who are making decisions that are harming the masses and the nation.
(This was also true at Enron, for example, where a few greedy executives stole everything at the expense of investors and workers. The same could be said of the FDA, where a few key bureaucrats make decisions that override the good sense of the FDA’s drug safety scientists.)
To some extent, the nature of the corporation itself is to blame, a machinery that supersedes any good intention of any single employee or decision maker. Put quite simply: Corporations exist to make profits. That means drug companies exist to sell pharmaceuticals. The more pharmaceuticals sold, the more profits made. Thus the battle-cry of Pfizer and Merck—who have to answer to shareholders—is “Make more money,” not “Serve the public good.”
“Pharmaceutical companies are enjoying unprecedented profits…Yet the Republicans’ prescription drug plan for seniors has been a colossal failure, and over 43 million Americans wake up every morning without health insurance.”
—Congressman Jim Clyburn
With this in mind, it’s clear that the drug reps, drug scientists, drug marketing experts, etc., are just following orders given to them by their superiors, simply to keep their jobs. They don’t see (or don’t want to see) that they have helped expand disease and increased human suffering.
As time progresses, this should become clear to some if not many of these pharmaceutical employees. As more research exposes the dangers of pharmaceuticals, hopefully an awakening will occur. They will realize that injecting children with endless vaccinations, flu shots, and more is not natural.
War has been declared on our children. Are we strong enough and smart enough to fight back?
Let’s take the following product as an example:
Pharmaceuticals like these are among the most sinister of all, because they are aimed at very young women, who are often naive, easily-manipulated, impressionable and usually unsuspecting.
Women’s monthly periods are healthy and natural—they are one of the most healthy and natural things in the world in fact. Wise ancient cultures all tied the woman’s menstrual cycle to the moon’s cycle since time immemorial; and don’t fool with Mother Nature. Yet these ads try to entice young women out of menstruating naturally / normally.
Products like these are the most sinister; they are aimed at young women, who are inexperienced and impressionable. The advertisers know it’s a deep desire of young women to feel empowered, wise, and confident (i.e., from girl to woman) and they sell this image to these girls in the ad, and in the product itself.
Young girls think taking this drug is OK; after all the FDA has approved it, right? And aren’t, like, the smartest people in the world working for the FDA? And hasn’t this drug been around for, like, a zillion years? Most of them think so (according to a study the present author conducted).
Unfortunately, these young women never suspect, and can’t even fathom, the type of greed and selfishness that has been introduced into their midst.
What unseen dangers lie ahead for these innocent young girls when they grow up and want a family? What terrible fate lies ahead for America as a result of this tampering with Nature? It’s all just one big medical experiment.
#3 – ARMAMENTS: War For Profit, Instead of Feeding People
“The arms industry is a global industry and business which manufactures and sells weapons and military technology and equipment . It comprises government and commercial industry involved in research, development, production, and service of military material , equipment and facilities…Departments of government also operate in the arms industry, buying and selling weapons, munitions and other military items.”
— Wikipedia
On January 17, 1961, in his farewell address, President Dwight Eisenhower warned of the establishment of the “military-industrial complex,” where decision-makers profit from the wars they start:
“…we have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions…We annually spend on military security more than the net income of all United State corporations.
This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience….We…must not fail to comprehend its grave implications…In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.
We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties…”
— President Dwight D. Eisenhower (1961)
Unfortunately, President Eisenhower’s advice went unheeded. Just ask Dick Cheney, America’s former Vice President. He and his friends at Halliburton are a very recent and very visible example of leaders profiting financially from the wars they create.
“Cheney was chairman and CEO of Halliburton Company from 1995 to 2000 and has received stock options from Halliburton…In the run-up to the Iraq war, Halliburton was awarded a $7 billion contract for which ‘unusually’ only Halliburton was allowed to bid.”
— Wikipedia
Of course, Cheney and crew are only one example in a sea of others. Armaments is big business, make no mistake.
“Global arms sales reached new heights, according to a recent report by a think tank in Sweden. Despite the global recession, the sales, both domestic and exports, of the world’s most profitable arms-producing companies increased by nearly $15 billion from 2008 to 2009, reaching a total $400 billion in arms sales throughout the world — the highest amount ever. Other estimates put that figure as high as $1 trillion.…Companies in the United States make up nearly half of world sales…”
—Thriving Arms Industry, The Japan Times, 2/27/2011
Not only does the proliferation of weapons and armaments swallow the wealth of nations—wealth that could be better spent on programs aimed at feeding, housing, educating, and so on—but it poses a threat to world peace by brainwashing us into fearing and hating each other. Think about it. All of us have grown up living in the shadow of war, fearing the Soviets, fearing the Arabs, and wanting them all to just go away. This type of constant fear and terror distorts our psychological mindset and distorts the mindset of our children, whether we realize it or not.
Simply put, the Invisible Government has created an armaments industry just so it can profit from it—this at the expense of world peace and humanity’s spiritual development.
“When a country decides to invest in arms, rather than in education, housing, the environment, and health services for its people, it is depriving a whole generation of its right to prosperity and happiness. We have produced one firearm for every ten inhabitants of this planet, and yet we have not bothered to end hunger when such a feat is well within our reach.”
— Oscar Arias Sanchez President of Costa Rica (awarded Nobel Peace Price in 1987 for his efforts to end civil wars across Central America)
#4 – RELIGION: The Opiate of the Masses
Most Americans, even if they don’t go to Church or read the Bible, believe in God. They inherited this belief from parents and grandparents. Sure, it’s comforting to believe that we have a “Father” in heaven who loves and watches over us, and who will receive us when we die. But have you ever thought about the “illogic” of the “God” story?
In the following 2-minute clip, the late comedian and social critic George Carlin explains with humor the incredible nature of the God story:
As a lifelong spiritual seeker and truth seeker, the present author found it hard to give up belief in God. After all, what else is there? Atheism? Wrong!
What was found after a lifetime of travel, research, and study is that the “God” idea that we have today in the West is actually a watered-down version of a much more ancient, a much more universal, and a much more accurate spiritual truth; a truth that is more Eastern in its tone and philosophy. In essence, what was found was that the “God story” is really a distortion (created by the Invisible Government, and perpetuated in Hollywood films like The Ten Commandments) of a much greater narrative.
Not wanting us to know this “much greater narrative” the Invisible Government has put the “God story” in place to help keep us down, blind, sleeping and dis-empowered.
#5 – MASS MEDIA: Disinformation, Manipulation, Propaganda, Mind Control
The Invisible Government uses the mass media to control us. The term “mass media” is multifaceted. Here we’ll use it to describe the following two forms of media:
-News Media (TV news, newspapers, magazines)
-Television (shows, sports, commercials)
TV NEWS MEDIA
The main national networks, NBC, CBS, and ABC, as well as most if not all of the smaller cable channels, are owned, funded, and controlled by an interconnected network of large corporate conglomerates and international banking interests, which manipulate and filter out news that does not fit their corporate agenda.
“One of the intentions of corporate-controlled media is to instill in people a sense of disempowerment, of immobilization and paralysis. Its outcome is to turn you into good consumers. It is to keep people isolated, to feel that there is no possibility for social change.”
—David Barsamian, Journalist, Publisher
“The media serve the interests of state and corporate power, which are closely interlinked, framing their reporting and analysis in a manner supportive of established privilege and limiting debate and discussion accordingly.”
— Noam Chomsky, American linguist and US media and foreign policy critic
The U.S. Media is dominated by 6 huge global corporations. These 6 corporations rule the newspapers, television, and radio:
2009 revenues: $157 billion
General Electric media-related holdings include a minority share in television networks NBC and Telemundo, Universal Pictures, Focus Features, 26 television stations in the United States and cable networks MSNBC, Bravo and the Sci Fi Channel. GE also owns 80 percent of NBC Universal. On January 18, 2011 the Federal Communications Commission approved Comcast’s take-over of a majority share of NBC-Universal from General Electric. However, General Electric still has a 49% ownership stake in NBC-Universal.
2009 revenues: $36.1 billion
The Walt Disney Company owns the ABC Television Network, cable networks including ESPN, the Disney Channel, SOAPnet, A&E and Lifetime, 277 radio stations, music and book publishing companies, production companies Touchstone, Miramax and Walt Disney Pictures, Pixar Animation Studios, the cellular service Disney Mobile, and theme parks around the world.
2009 revenues: $30.4 billion
News Corporation’s media holdings include: the Fox Broadcasting Company; television and cable networks such as Fox, Fox Business Channel, National Geographic and FX; print publications including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Post and TVGuide; the magazines Barron’s andSmartMoney; book publisher HarperCollins; film production companies 20th Century Fox, Fox Searchlight Pictures and Blue Sky Studios; numerous websites including MarketWatch.com; and non-media holdings including the National Rugby League.
2009 revenues: $25.8 billion
Time Warner is the largest media conglomerate in the world, with holdings including: CNN, the CW (a joint venture with CBS), HBO, Cinemax, Cartoon Network, TBS, TNT, America Online, MapQuest, Moviefone, Warner Bros. Pictures, Castle Rock and New Line Cinema, and more than 150 magazines including Time, Sports Illustrated, Fortune, Marie Claire and People.
2009 revenues: $13.6 billion
Viacom holdings include: MTV, Nickelodeon/Nick-at-Nite, VH1, BET, Comedy Central, Paramount Pictures, Paramount Home Entertainment, Atom Entertainment, and music game developer Harmonix. Viacom 18 is a joint venture with the Indian media company Global Broadcast news.
2009 revenues: $13 billion
CBS Corporation owns the CBS Television Network, CBS Television Distribution Group, the CW (a joint venture with Time Warner), Showtime, book publisher Simon & Schuster, 30 television stations, and CBS Radio, Inc, which has 130 stations. CBS is now the leading supplier of video to Google’s new Video Marketplace.
The purpose of this ownership is to control public opinion.
TELEVISION
Television itself has become the great indoctrination tool of our age, and one of the greatest indoctrination tools ever devised. Television has changed human perception as well as the whole cultures of nations. Most of your ideas and opinions and the things you emulate and mimic come from Television, though you probably don’t realize it.
Television is power. Television is hypnosis. Television is propaganda. Television is being used to condition you. When watching, your mind becomes open to suggestion. Your opinions are shaped. Your patterns of thinking are formed, already neatly packaged for you. Your perception of reality is molded.
You are told what to think, not how to think. You are told what is important, rather than looking inside yourself to see what “YOU” feel is important. You are told what is relevant. What to believe. How to speak, what phrases to use, and how to say what and when.
Public opinion in general is engineered through television, because you follow the “herd” instinct for fear of standing alone. Billions are spent on TV advertising precisely because the messages “reach” you, and reach you with a vengeance!
Sure, TV advertising exists also so you can buy individual products sold mostly by the big corporations (i.e., Do you or anyone you know have enough money to advertise on the “big” networks? Of course not!).But besides this there’s also a deeper programming going on here; a programming that also seeks to target America’s children.
American children watch four hours of television daily on average. Unfortunately, most of this programming is violent or dumbed-down. Studies show this causes greater aggressiveness in children, and greater stupidity; children become “immune” or numb to the horror of violence, imitate the violence they observe on TV, and gradually accept violence as a way to solve problems.
This is because creating a “confused,” “mal-adjusted” and “dumbed down” American child also seems to be on the agenda of the Invisible Government. Having a divided and less intelligent public makes their job of dominion and imperial control much easier.
At least one study shows that fast-paced TV shows like Sponge Bob are to blame.
Fast-paced cartoons like Sponge Bob confuses kids.
Researchers chose “SpongeBob” for its frenetic pace: The show switches scenes on average every 11 seconds, as compared with PBS cartoon (public television) which switch only twice a minute.
“After watching the programs, the preschoolers were asked to do four different “executive function” tasks that test cognitive capability and impulse control, such as counting backwards, solving puzzles , and delaying gratification by waiting to eat a tasty snack until told to do so. Compared with those who were drawing and those watching PBS, the “SpongeBob” kids performed significantly worse on the tasks, the researchers said.”
—Lauren Effron
And then, of course, there are shows like The Real Housewives, Bridalplasty, Who Wants To Marry A Millionaire, and so on. Children watch these shows and believe the people who appear on them are normal. Unfortunately, today these types of people are indeed normal, because American culture and society has devolved so quickly. However, anyone with self-respect and dignity knows in their mind and feels in their heart that the Jerry Springer Show dehumanizes humanity. Same with Maury Povich, Steve Wilkos, and the rest.
These images are poison to us, mentally, physically, spiritually.
All of us are too good for Jerry Springer. All of us, even the people who appear on the shows. These programs debase humanity by glorifying the basest of human nature and human instinct, the animal part of us, our lowest qualities. Why not glorify the highest in humans, instead of the lowest, and let’s see what heights we might reach?
#6 – EDUCATION: The Deliberate Dumbing-Down of America
Nowhere has the flight from normality, quality, and decency that’s plaguing American life today been more obvious than in our schools and universities.
Education is meant to give students the intellectual tools to analyze, whether verbally or numerically, and to reach conclusions based on logic, reason, and evidence. Yet we’ve fallen so steeply and so quickly from this ideal that it’s frightening.
The American educational system, from grade school to grad school, has long been in decline; even more scary, this decline seems to be happening on purpose. Mind-limiting textbooks, watered-down requirements and simplistic test grade scales are to blame; not to mention the fact that many teachers are poorly trained and many schools cause social maladjustment, moral confusion and alienation. Just look at the surreal level of gun-violence, aggressiveness, and bullying.
Most of the blame can be laid at the feet of the trainers of teachers, the writers of textbooks and the educational “policy people” in the government who influence them. The result is that the U.S. educational system cranks out students the way Detroit cranks out Buicks. Students are more programmed to memorize meaningless dates and names, and to conform to economic and social norms; they are not really taught how to think.
Even worse, public schools, which are coercively financed and administered, regard children as property of the state. This undermines parental love and authority.
Would you allow this to be done to your children?
Then, there’s college, the biggest farce going. In four years, kids learn how to master the art of drinking, having sex, and doing drugs, but not much else. Sure there is some “learning” taking place, but whether or not this learning is merely a natural part of human development (i.e., all animals learn things in a four-year period, like bears, cheetahs and dolphins) is a question that has yet to be raised, let alone answered.
Parents no longer esteem the great “arts” and “sciences” of the ages, but now send their kids off to learn a trait that will “make them a lot of money.” Why is making a lot of money an idea imprinted on the minds of the young? The answer is because it is this same idea that has been imprinted on the minds of the parents. The parents were dumbed-down first; now their children are even dumber.
Of course, college has become outrageously expensive. Why? Because not long ago the brilliant idea emerged on the part of the Invisible Government that if Americans want a real education, they should be billed for it. Today’s high school graduates have only the equivalency of a 6th grade education when compared to other countries. College thus became a necessary and lucrative industry. After all, why give away something for free when you can charge for it? That’s what America’s “leaders” realized a long time ago, and it’s sickening.
If you want to know who to blame for all this, the answer is: BLAME THE GOVERNMENT!
#7 – POLITICS: How And Why The Government Is Not Your Friend
When we think “Government” we think “friend.” But “enemy” is more like it! Politicians are owned by the Invisible Government, lock, stock and barrel. Just look up words like “special interest” and “lobby.” Politicians look after their own interests, power, and elections. They’re not worried about you, but about themselves.
Worse, we’re led into the trap of believing there’s a two-party system, “Republican” and “Democrat.” In reality these are the same animal; twin sides of the same coin.
Don’t be a Republicrat. Stand apart. Think for yourself.
100 senators, 435 congressmen, one president and nine Supreme Court justices—545 human beings out of 300 million Americans—constitute our government. There isn’t a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to these 545 people. Yet all of them spend much of their time and energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
It must follow that what exists is what they want to exist. If the tax code is unfair; if the budget is in the red; if there are troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, it’s because they want it that way. Or, better, the big money and lobbyists behind them do. And these big money and lobbyists are the messengers of the Invisible Government.
